Position OverviewMasters Swim Instructor – Casual (Competition #26031C)North Vancouver Recreation & Culture (NVRC) is dedicated to building healthy individuals, families, and communities. We offer a wide range of recreation and cultural programs and services to residents of all ages and abilities. NVRC values employees, offering a market-competitive salary and a great working environment.ResponsibilitiesCoach our Masters Swim Program.Provide different and varying workouts, and give feedback and stroke correction to participants.Act as a team player and commit to community service.Be reliable,
responsive to customer needs, and excellent at building relationships.Communicate courteously and effectively with the public and work safely in a friendly manner.Qualifications & SkillsMinimum NCCP Swimming 101 Coaching Certification.Current Emergency First Aid & CPR‑C Certification or higher from an approved agency (Lifesaving Society, St. John Ambulance, Canadian Red Cross, Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation, or Canadian Ski Patrol).Prepared to work days, evenings, and/or weekends at any NVRC location.Typically work early mornings from Monday to Friday.Required to submit a Police Information Check as a condition of employment.CompensationHourly rate: $34.80 per hour, based on education and experience, plus 4% vacation pay.Closing DateJune 10, 2026#J-18808-Ljbffr
