Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a clean, modern manufacturing environment. In this role, you will assemble small electronic and mechanical components using hand and power tools while following detailed work instructions. This is a fast-paced position that requires attention to detail, quality, and safety.

Responsibilities

- Assemble small mechanical and electronic components.

- Perform manual through-hole assembly on electronic products.

- Use hand and power tools, including torque drivers.

- Read and follow assembly instructions and documentation in English.

- Lift and move materials up to 25 lbs.

- Use basic computer programs such as Microsoft Excel and Word.

- Meet production targets while maintaining high quality standards.

- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.

- Work effectively as part of a team.

- Keep the work area clean and organized.

Requirements

- Minimum 6 months of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Experience using hand and power tools.

- Ability to read and understand English work instructions.

- Comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs.

- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Basic electronics knowledge and experience with through-hole assembly.

Preferred Qualifications

- First Aid certification is an asset.

- Experience in electronics or mechanical manufacturing.

- Knowledge of workplace safety practices and PPE requirements.

- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Markham, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Markham,ON.
