We are seeking a detail-oriented Soldering Technician who also possesses robust mechanical assembly skills. The primary focus of this role is high-precision hand soldering and rework on electronic components. As a secondary responsibility, you will assist with the physical assembly and housing of final products. The ideal candidate is a precision-focused individual who excels under a microscope but is equally comfortable picking up hand tools to help finish a mechanical build.
Core Responsibilities
Primary Focus: Hand Soldering
Perform high-quality hand soldering (through-hole and surface-mount technology / SMT) on circuit boards, custom cables, and wire harnesses.
Conduct delicate rework, component replacement, and repair using fine-tip soldering irons and desoldering equipment.
Secondary Focus: Mechanical Assembly
Assist with mechanical assembly tasks, including mounting circuit boards into enclosures, installing brackets, and fastening hardware.
Route wires neatly and secure electro-mechanical sub-assemblies inside final product housings.
Documentation & Tools
Read and follow electronics schematics, assembly drawings, and standard work instructions.
Robust applicable tool knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills
Soldering Proficiency (Primary Requirement): Proven hands-on experience with electronic hand soldering, exceptional hand-eye coordination, and experience working with micro-components.
Mechanical Assembly (Secondary Requirement): Solid mechanical aptitude with experience using basic hand tools to assemble physical parts or enclosures.
Technical Literacy: Ability to interpret both basic electronics schematics and mechanical assembly drawings.
Attributes: Meticulous attention to detail, solid patience, and the flexibility to switch between delicate soldering and mechanical build tasks.
Work Location: In person
