SVEMY Construction Ltd. is a Calgary-based construction company specializing in federal, special-purpose, commercial, light industrial, restoration, and other construction projects. We are seeking an experienced Carpentry Foreman/Woman to join our team and work on projects in Calgary and at various project locations.

Responsibilities:
Prepare production and other reports
Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and quality
Supervise workers and construction projects
Coordinate and schedule activities
Oversee apprenticeship training
Train or arrange for training
Set up equipment
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
Coordinate with project management, subcontractors and other trades
Perform hands-on carpentry and construction work as required

Qualifications:
Secondary (high)



school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience
Previous experience supervising workers and construction activities
Strong practical knowledge of carpentry and general construction
Valuable organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
Accurate, reliable, versatile and able to work effectively as part of a team
Willing and able to work at various project locations

Work Setting:
Construction, commercial, industrial and historical restoration projects. Work is performed on site at various locations.

Pay: $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 44.0 per week
