We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Yard Supervisor to lead and coordinate operations within our outdoor storage and distribution yard. This role involves moving and managing large modular buildings in our manufacturing facility. optimizing workflow efficiency. The Yard Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining smooth logistics, supervising equipment usage such as forklifts, manlifts, and zoomboom, and loading and unloading shipments and customer equipment. Duties
Supervise daily yard operations, including loading, unloading, order placing, and yard space management
Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure productive movement of goods and materials in and out of the facility
Oversee forklift operation and ensure compliance with safety standards
Maintain yard activities by suppliers, and contractors in the yard.
Requirements
Proven experience supervising yard activities within manufacturing environment
Solid leadership skills
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate forklifts with certification preferred
Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service and teamwork
Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as continuous improvement initiatives or Lean principles
