About the Position

Holiday Inn Ottawa East is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and customer-focused Banquet Servers to join our Food & Beverage team. The Banquet Server will assist with the successful execution of weddings, meetings, conferences, receptions, and other events while providing professional and friendly service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
Set up banquet rooms, tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and other event requirements.
Welcome and assist guests in a professional and courteous manner.
Serve food and beverages according to hotel standards and event requirements.
Explicit and reset tables efficiently throughout events.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events.
Assist with buffet setup, replenishment, and breakdown as required.
Communicate effectively with the Banquet Supervisor, Food & Beverage team, kitchen staff, and other departments.
Respond to guest requests and concerns promptly and professionally.
Follow all hotel policies, food safety standards,



and Health & Safety procedures.
Assist with closing and cleaning duties at the end of each event.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Qualifications & Skills
Previous banquet, restaurant, hotel, or customer service experience is an asset.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace.
Ability to remain calm and professional during busy events.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift/move banquet equipment as required.
Smart Serve certification is an asset.
Food Handler certification is an asset.

Expected hours: 15.0 – 24.0 per week
