Applicant skills, perspectives and lived experience may be matched for this role, or other opportunities within the FNHA.Position DetailsTitle:Indigenous Educator, Harm ReductionSalary:$91,172 - $107,261 - $123,351 per year (pay range explained below)Contract:Term-ending June 1, 2027Hours:37.5 hours (core hours 9am‑3pm Mon‑Fri)Location:Hybrid – 3 days in office and 2 work from home – work anywhere within the Vancouver Island Region – Frequent travel is required for this position.The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.About The RoleAs an Indigenous Educator, Harm Reduction,
you will travel as required and confidently deliver presentations to diverse audiences. You will apply your experience in both Indigenous harm reduction and Western harm reduction approaches to support community learning and engagement. You will bring robust skills in Naloxone training, drug checking, and Opioid Agonist Therapy. You will also play a key role in implementing and supporting Safer Use Supply programs within community settings.EducationBachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, Social Work, Clinical Psychology or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceExperienceRecent, relevant and significant experience in the area of Indigenous harm reduction (usually acquired over a period of 3‑5 years)Experience working with Indigenous leadership, health professionals and communitiesWorking at FNHAMunicipal Pension plan with an employer contribution of 9.31%3 weeks’ vacation, which increases with service to 4 weeks, plus 5 personal days, 1 volunteer day, and 14 public holidays including National Indigenous People’s Day, National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, Easter Monday and Boxing DayAccess to group health benefits and a Health Care Spending Account through Canada Life on day 1 of employmentAnd more!#J-18808-Ljbffr
