Third Cook (Production Kitchen)

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Third Cook to join our production kitchen team. This is an entry-level cooking position ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is comfortable following structured recipes and food safety standards.

Availability: Full time (weekdays & weekends)
Shift times: 3pm to 12 am and/or 6 am to 2:30pm - will be in rotation based on the operational need
Must be able to lift upto 25kg inside coolers and freezers
Shift start times are definite however end times will depend on the daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing and cooking large quantities of food following standardized recipes and production schedules
Perform basic food preparation tasks such as cutting, chopping, peeling, portioning, mixing, and labelling ingredients
Accurately complete required logs and documentation (temperature logs, lot tracking, HACCP, CCPs, etc.)
Ensure proper labelling, storage, and organization of food products, containers, and kitchen areas
Maintain clean and organized workstations, equipment, fridges, and storage areas
Monitor food quality and temperatures throughout preparation and handling
Follow all food safety,



sanitation, GMP, and company health & safety standards, including proper PPE and hygiene practices
Comply with all Halal food handling and preparation requirements, including preventing cross-contamination and verifying approved ingredients
Report any food safety, quality, or equipment concerns to management
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and remain flexible to support operational needs

Qualifications
Previous kitchen or food production experience is an asset
Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices (HACCP knowledge is an asset)
Ability to follow recipes and detailed instructions accurately
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work in a rapid-paced, physically demanding environment
Versatile availability (including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as required)

Pay: $21.22 per hour
