Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Personal Support Worker to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in various care settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients through attentive, respectful, and personalized assistance. As a Certified Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive patient care, promoting independence, and ensuring safety and comfort for those in need.

Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
Provide compassionate care tailored to individual needs, including medication administration and health monitoring.
Support patients with mobility challenges through secure lifting, transferring, and positioning techniques.
Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary.
Maintain a clean and protected environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning patient areas and laundry.
Document client progress, report any changes in health status to healthcare professionals, and adhere to care plans.




Offer emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment for clients with dementia or experiencing hospice care.

Requirements
Valid certification as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) from an accredited program or institution in Ontario
Valid G2/G license
Up-to-date: Vulnerable Sector Check (completed within the last 6-months)
Up-t0-date: current FIRST AID / CPR
Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments.
Knowledge of patient care practices including medication administration, dementia care, and hospice support.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or seniors requiring specialized care.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining client comfort.
Solid communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, as needed.
