As the Privacy Specialist, you will be a key subject matter expert reporting to the Vice-President of Finance and Administration. Your primary responsibilities will include applying access and privacy legislation, processing information requests, and promoting best practices in records retention. You'll also play an essential role in fostering a culture of privacy within the university community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise on privacy obligations under FIPPA and PHIPA laws
• Prepare reports on privacy compliance and emerging risks




• Develop institutional privacy frameworks and recommendations
• Provide guidance to the university community on information access
• Investigate privacy breaches and compliance issues
Requirements:
• In-depth knowledge of privacy and access legislation
