Duties
Operate various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse
Safely handle heavy lifting tasks, ensuring all items are moved securely and accurately
Conduct regular inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning
Assist with order picking by accurately retrieving items from designated locations using warehouse management systems (WMS)
Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic maintenance when needed
Follow safety protocols diligently during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries
Maintain accurate inventory records through precise order picking and stock management
Skills
Proven experience in warehouse distribution environments with familiarity in order picking processes
Valid forklift certification and experience operating clamp trucks and order pickers
Strong mechanical knowledge to understand equipment functions and perform basic troubleshooting
Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing
Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and weight assessments
Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks and standing or walking for extended periods
Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order picking and inventory management
