As a Cook 1, you will report to the Head Chef and play a key role in the daily meal preparation for residents, guests, and staff. Your focus will be on developing healthy, visually appealing dishes that meet various dietary requirements. You'll also ensure adherence to food safety regulations and effective teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with staff to maintain positive kitchen culture
• Prepare meals based on menu reviews and food production sheets
• Conduct daily temperature checks for food safety




• Serve therapeutic diets and record meal substitutions
• Supervise workflow and direct staff during meal production
Requirements:
• Grade 12 or equivalent educational background
• Culinary training or equivalent experience required
• At least 2-3 years of culinary experience
• Knowledge of food regulations and diet safety
• Food Safe Level 1 Certification preferred
