Position Summary The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial health of Shouldice Stone by managing accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance. This role plays a critical part in supporting strategic decision-making, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial information, and partnering with leadership to drive sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for the Executive TeamOwn the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and balancing of the income statementComplete bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and CAPEX tracking and allocationProcess and oversee all bank wires, EFTs, and payments, ensuring accuracy and proper approvalsAdminister payroll, benefits, and pension programs, ensuring compliance and timely processingPrepare, file, and manage all required government and statutory submissions, including:HST WSIB Corporate Tax support EHT PST / RST Quebec Business Registration Statistics Canada RPRA (Resource Productivity & Recovery Authority – formerly HWIN) Lead year-end close activities, including preparation of working papers, schedules, and coordination with external accounting firms (significant workload during year-end period)Maintain and update QuickBooks and M1,
