Reporting to the Manager, Clinical Services or designate, the Clinical Psychologist is in charge of psychological services for Adult Community Support Services (ACSS)and isresponsible for the provision of a full range of psychological assessments/tests, interpretations and treatments for clients and their families. The Clinical Psychologist has full program development responsibility and provides consultation to referral sources regarding issues relevant to the practice of clinical psychology. The Clinical Psychologist provides psychological assessment and diagnosis, and collaborates with physicians and other care providers regarding treatment planning for clients experiencing symptoms of acute mental illness. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the Clinical Psychologist also participates in guideline development, quality assurance, program development and evaluation, clinical research and education activities.
Education and Experience
Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from a recognized and accredited learning institution. Five years' recent, related experience in psycho-diagnostic assessment/testing of psychological function and disorders or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Demonstrated experience working with and leading psychological interventions, consultation, and interdisciplinary team work with complex clients. Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC).
