The Laser Programmer-Operator is responsible for interpreting project blueprints, designing programs and setting up machines to produce the component outlined in the program. We are looking for someone that is eager to continue their career, that is results-oriented, professional and an out-of-the-box thinker. The Laser Programmer-Operator promotes company image through safety, quality, consistency, and professionalism.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOperate and program the CNC laser cutting machine and other machinery used in the production process, or assist other machine operatorsSelect and set up lenses based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipmentKnowledge about shield gases used during laser cutting operationMonitor fill level of bulk tank system and report reordering levels to the supervisorWork in a fast-paced environment with fast changing prioritiesKeep work area clean and organizedProvide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given taskWork with team members to maximize productivity and efficiencyPrepare product for shipmentLift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually, or using hoistOperate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operatorsAlways conduct oneself in a skilled manner in alignment with Company values, including but not limited to language use, attire, and workmanship2+ years of experience on Trumpf, Amada or similar CNC laser cutting machines (TruDisk/TruFlow preferred).High school diploma or GED is preferredSolid background working with sheet metalKnowledge of tooling and tool maintenanceProven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skillsAbility to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Copper and BrassFlexible schedule is required; this position requires shift work as well as some weekend workStrong team player and reliableWe are committed to diversity and inclusion.
