Saskatoon or ReginaSaskatoon, SK S7K2C5, CANDescriptionJOB FUNCTIONReporting directly to the Manager, Underwriting, the Intermediate/Senior Group Underwriter will be responsible for new group business quotations, implementing new groups, and renewing existing group clients of a more complex nature. This position supports the sales effort through the accurate and efficient assessment and rating of both prospective and existing group employee benefit plans. and analyzing data for pricing and various projectsContribute to both corporate & department initiatives and projects as neededAssist in inputting data into multiple software systemsAnalyze and assess risk, calculate rates, and generate rate quotations for Group life, income replacement, health, and dental benefits using established factors and formulaeFollow established underwriting standards, guidelines, and procedures in line with industry practices and corporate objectivesAssist in modifying plan design to meet diverse client requirementsMaintain accurate documentation and up-to-date files, recording all key decisions and actionsAssist in maintaining the Department procedures manualReview life and disability proposals for large groups, to ensure adherence to the original quotationProvide guidance, support, mentorship, and coaching to the underwriting team as necessaryReview quotes and renewals from other Underwriters that exceed individual authority limitsQUALIFICATIONS & SKILLSCompletion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited post-secondary institution in Mathematical Sciences, Commerce, relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, training,
