As a crucial support to the Communications Lead, you will coordinate key public materials, develop engaging content, and manage media relations for a municipality focused on transparency and community outreach. This position requires a team-oriented approach, working with various departments to ensure consistent messaging and productive response to public inquiries while advising leadership on communications strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Shape and execute communications plans for District initiatives
• Develop engaging content for various public channels
• Provide trusted communications advice to departments
• Support media relations and community outreach efforts
• Collaborate to ensure brand consistency and alignment
Requirements:
• Diploma in Communications, Public Relations, or related field
• Minimum three years’ relevant work experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and content management systems
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Valid BC Driver's License
