Job DescriptionAs a Machine Maintenance Specialist, you will be essential in ensuring the optimal performance of manufacturing equipment and machinery. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your role involves utilizing mechanical knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and experience with sensors, robotics, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components to conduct regular maintenance and repairs in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications.Work ScheduleDay shift 6:00am – 4:30pm, Monday–Thursday. Occasional Fridays and overnight shifts during peak season may be required. Overtime and shift flexibility are essential.What You Will DoWork with stamping operations to ensure plant equipment is operating when necessary by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electrical issues.Repair basic mechanical components and replace parts such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, and switches.Perform preventative maintenance on all plant equipment per manufacturer specifications or internal schedules.Focus on improving productivity through equipment, material, or process improvements.Install and troubleshoot new equipment as directed.Attend shift on time, be present at the workstation, and work overtime as required.Contribute to the success of MiTek by installing, maintaining, and repairing manufacturing and packaging equipment.Support quality investigations and maintain awareness of production equipment design, optimization,



and maintenance.Document and track changeover times and records.Follow all safety rules and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, housekeeping, and 5S standards.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications2–3 years of experience as a mechanic or die setter in industrial manufacturing (e.G., pharma, automotive, food, health care, beverage).Experience with equipment set‑up and fine adjustments for optimal operation.Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to document work.Technical problem‑solving skills and knowledge of automation controls, sensors, and related systems.Self‑managed team player, adept at working in a production environment.Proven technical competency in equipment optimization and maintenance.Experience analyzing and improving maintenance plans and procedures.Experience ordering parts and working with machine shops and vendors.Mechanical background or training to support application.Certificates: Lock‑out/Tag‑out certified; additional certifications (crane, forklift, ladder, sling) are a plus.Preferred QualificationsLeadership or supervisory experience in maintenance or similar fields.Experience with automated production processes and related equipment,



including robotics.Experience in a manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical or automotive).Stamping press knowledge or equipment maintenance experience.Strong root‑cause analysis and troubleshooting skills for die presses.Robotics and/or PLC knowledge.Skills & AbilitiesRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Write routine reports and correspondence.Perform basic mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with various units.Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.Read a tape measure, use a micrometer, voltmeter, and calipers.Knowledge of blueprint reading.General knowledge of technology or electronics helpful.Soft skills: leadership, conflict resolution, teamwork, and independent work.CompensationExpected Salary Range: From $25/hour.
