We continuously evaluate our benefits and policies to meet current and future requirements.Position – Quality Control InspectorLocation: Peru, INWe are seeking experienced Quality Control Inspectors to support commercial aircraft maintenance and inspection operations in Peru, IN. This position verifies completed maintenance, workmanship, and documentation meet applicable technical and quality requirements.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInspect aircraft maintenance, repairs, installations, and completed workVerify work is completed in accordance with applicable technical data and proceduresPerform in-process and final inspections as assignedInspect aircraft systems, components, and installations for conformity and workmanshipIdentify discrepancies and communicate required corrective actionsReview maintenance documentation for accuracy and completenessMaintain accurate inspection and quality recordsCoordinate with technicians and leads while following quality and safety proceduresCompetenciesTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Attention to Detail – Accurately identifies discrepancies and workmanship concernsTechnical Knowledge – Understands aircraft maintenance and inspection practicesQuality Focus – Maintains consistent workmanship and documentation standardsJudgment – Evaluates completed work against applicable requirementsCommunication – Clearly communicates inspection findings and corrective actionsIntegrity – Applies quality standards consistently and professionallySummary of Education, Experience and CertificationHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate requiredPrevious aircraft maintenance and quality control or inspection experience requiredCommercial airline or heavy-maintenance aircraft inspection experience preferredRequired Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of aircraft inspection and quality control practicesAbility to read and interpret maintenance manuals, technical data, and work instructionsAbility to identify maintenance, installation, and workmanship discrepanciesAbility to review maintenance records for accuracy and completenessStrong attention to detail and commitment to aircraft safety and qualityEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively with maintenance and quality personnelWork Environment and Physical DemandsThe employee will work in an aircraft maintenance and hangar environment and may be exposed to noise, chemicals, moving equipment, and other conditions associated with aviation maintenance.The position may require extended standing and walking, as well as bending, climbing, reaching, kneeling, and accessing different areas of an aircraft.Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.GAL AeroStaff Contract Employee BenefitsEligible GAL AeroStaff contract employees may receive:Medical perks after 90 days of employmentThree paid holidays per year after 90 days of employment: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's DayState-mandated sick leave, where applicableTravel pay, when applicable to the assignmentPer diem split, when applicable to the assignmentAccess to a 401(k) planAny employer 401(k) contribution or match is discretionary and is not guaranteed.
