Join us and gain valuable non-profit work experience while supporting Aunt Leah's mission of building brighter futures for foster kids. 100% profit from sales support out programs.Job Summary: Make the holidays matter - lead a community fundraiser that supports youth in care.Aunt Leah's Independent Lifeskills Society is seeking Lot Coordinators to lead operations at one of our 2025 Annual Christmas Tree Lot Fundraiser locations in Vancouver or Burnaby.This is a hands-on, seasonal leadership position ideal for people with retail, volunteer coordination, or team lead experience who want their work to support a good cause. You'll manage daily tree lot operations, oversee volunteers, track sales and inventory, and help customers find the perfect holiday tree - all while keeping things safe, smooth, and joyful.This seasonal position runs from November 16 to December 23, 2026 with paid training provided (or earlier, if we sell out!). Shifts are 35 to 37.5 hours per week, including evenings and weekends. Stephen's United Church at 54th and Granville St; 7025 Granville St, VancouverStatus: Temporary, Seasonal (November 16 to December 23, 2026 or earlier, if sold out); between 35 to 37.5 hrs per weekCompensation: $ 24.00/ hr.Qualifications:Undergo and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record CheckRequired to work outdoors in all weather conditions; waterproof clothing & footwear is requiredThis position involves physical work moving objects weighing up to 50lbsBasic knowledge of working with tools - drills, hammers, loppers, sawsA valid BC driver's license, access to a reliable vehicleRequirements:Agrees to the Society's Code of EthicsAssets:Valid First Aid Certification is an assetNon-profit experience, supervising volunteers and working with donors is an assetExperience in salesAbility to work in a quick-paced environmentAbility to work independently and in a teamAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditionsMinimum 2 years of management and supervision experiencePhysical ability to safely lift 50 lbsAbility to safely operate hand tools - electrical saws (training provided)A desire to contribute to Aunt Leah's mission of preventing youth from foster care from becoming homeless and vulnerable mothers from losing custody of their childrenKey Duties and Responsibilities:Participating in site setup and take downWorking closely with Operations Coordinator throughout season, ensuring timely garbage and green waste pick up, coordinating supply restock, managing site take downOverseeing site finances, including daily/weekly reports, end of day reconciliation, refunds and/or disputesDaily opening and closing of the tree lotCounting and tracking tree lot inventoryIdentifying and assessing customers' needs to achieve satisfaction, providing product informationWrapping trees and tying trees to customers' vehiclesSupervising and handling point of sale registerManaging and participating in the unloading of suppliers' deliveriesEnsuring tree lots are clean, safe, and secure according to Aunt Leah's Health & Safety policiesPhysical Demands:Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.Working Conditions:Candidates must be able to commit to 35- 37.5 hour per week and be available to work a variety of shifts including mornings and evenings between 9:30am to 7:30pmCandidates must have weekend availabilityChristmas Tree Lots locations are located in Vancouver and BurnabyThis position includes physical work moving objects weighing up to 50lbsThis position works outdoors in all weather conditions; waterproof clothing & footwear is requiredWe strongly encourage applications from individuals of all gender identities and expressions, sexual orientations, visible minorities, Indigenous persons, and persons with disabilities who are interested in supporting our mission and mandate.
