Join us in our mission to create a better hiring experience.TitleSenior Analyst, CMHC & Multi-Family FinancingAverage Salary$80,000 - $100,000Cash BonusDiscretionary bonus.LocationToronto, ONOfficeIn-OfficeTeam SizeUnder 5The RoleThe key contributor supporting CMHC‑insured and conventional multi‑family loan underwriting and origination with a focus on high‑volume transaction management and independent stakeholder engagement.Transaction Review and Analysis (60%)Liaising with External and Internal Stakeholders (20%)Portfolio and Account Management (10%)Risk Assessment and Regulatory Compliance (10%)Transaction Review and AnalysisSupport the loan origination team in collecting required documentation from borrowers and brokers for the structuring of new loan transactionsPrepare and populate Application Summaries with relevant information and charts based on internal models for loan transactions and submission to CMHC for approvalConduct financial analysis of potential multi‑family mortgage applicants, including reviewing financial statements, cash flow projections, and credit reports to assess creditworthiness and riskEvaluate loan applications by considering factors such as loan‑to‑value ratios, debt service coverage ratios, and borrower credit history to determine suitabilityCoordinate and conduct due diligence activities, including review of property appraisals, title searches,



and environmental assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal lending standardsWork collaboratively with CMHC underwriters to answer questions, ensure file completeness, and review Certificates of Insurance through to clear COILiaising with External and Internal StakeholdersCollaborate with internal teams, borrowers, investors, and external stakeholders such as appraisers and solicitors to facilitate the loan origination process, including negotiating terms, preparing loan packages, and assisting with closingIndependently manage communications with CMHC underwriters and external parties, exercising sound judgment in responses without requiring regular oversightPortfolio and Account ManagementComplete loan amendment, extension, and renewal submissions for existing loans in the portfolioRisk Assessment and Regulatory ComplianceIdentify and assess risks associated with multi‑family real estate lending and support strategies to mitigate potential challengesStay current on regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to commercial real estate and CMHC lending, ensuring origination and underwriting practices adhere to industry regulationsThe CompanyAn established and growing commercial mortgage lender and investment fund manager focused on the Canadian real‑estate debt market, offering a full range of debt structures including insured, conventional, and mezzanine financing products.
