This position offers an opportunity to mentor and shape the next generation of nursing professionals through engaging and comprehensive instruction.This part‑time role follows a blended delivery format: classroom theory taught in person on Mondays at the campus, and online from Tuesday to Friday. The schedule for this line is Tuesday to Friday, 9:00 a.M. to 5:30 p.M.Start date:June 23, 2026Rate Range:$33.00‑$35.00/hourKey ResponsibilitiesFacilitate student learning in the classroom, providing guidance and support throughout.Ensure compliance with program accreditation standards, regulatory guidelines, and college policies.Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades,



and evaluations.Execute lesson plans using preset curriculum that aligns with PTIRU compliance (extensive in‑house curriculum orientation and training provided).Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.Maintain a collaborative and supportive learning environment.Stay current with best practices and developments in nursing education.QualificationsMinimum 2600 hours of nursing experience, inclusive of either maternity, mental health, or acute care.Current full registration with the BCCNM as an LPN, RN, or RDPN – required.Previous instructor experience is an asset.Experience with Office 365 and Student Information Systems (SIS) is an asset.Robust communication and mentorship skills.Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.Commitment to fostering a positive educational experience.Ability to travel to local sites within the region.Required ExperienceExperience in a long‑term care facility in Canada within the last two years, or relevant experience.Diversity and InclusionDiscovery Community College values diversity, inclusion, and equity.
