Applicants are encouraged to self-declare in their application.Position SummaryThe Child Care Assistant (CCA), as part of a team of Early Childhood Educators and CCAs, delivers child-specific, age appropriate programming to all children in the program in accordance with child development principles. The CCA implement plans and provides programming designed to meet each child's assessed needs in a manner that promotes positive social, physical, emotional and cognitive development. The CCA maintains a clean and safe workplace that encourages healthy interaction and learning.QualificationsEducationChild Care Assistant Classification from the Manitoba Child Care ProgramCurrent Infant/Child First Aid and CPR CertificateCompletion of 40-hour "Introduction to Early Childhood Care and Education" – Red River College or onlineService Delivery Skills, Expertise and ExperienceDemonstrated understanding of child care approaches and principles and ability to put that understanding into practiceSupervise and engage children throughout the day, during transitions, individual and group activities and free and structured play,
