The Athabasca Tribal Council seeks a Kinship/Foster Care Support Worker to enhance child safety and stability in foster settings. This role focuses on direct caregiver support and community collaboration.
This vital position requires a commitment to supporting children and youth in kinship and foster care. You will facilitate secure placements, conduct home visits, and work closely with social workers. Your responsibilities will also include the recruitment, training, and licensing of care providers, ensuring adherence to best practices and legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate full-cycle recruitment for caregiving placements
Conduct regular home visits for child well-being
Support caregivers through training and resources
Communicate with First Nations communities for outreach
Ensure compliance with Alberta Employment Standards
Requirements:
Degree or diploma in HR or business administration
Minimum three years in human resources
Knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards
Experience with Indigenous cultures as an asset
Transparent Intervention Record Check required
