Our banking client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (10+ years) to support derivatives trading applications using trade lifecycle management and pricing workflows- 41722
Location Address: Toronto Hybrid – 2 -3 days in the office
Contract Duration: ASAP – Jan 31 st , 2027
Possibility of extension: Yes, depending on funding approval and business case.
Business group: GTA - GBME FICC& Equity Trading - Derivatives and Structured Product Technology – The hiring manager supports the global equity derivatives business line, overseeing trading applications that span the full lifecycle—from trade booking and post-trade events to end-of-day processing and downstream data distribution for derivative products.
Project: The successful candidate will work on Grand Central enhancements in building a Structured Notes Request For Quote platform and integrate with in-house-built trading applications covering US/Canada and Europe regions.
Typical Day in Role:
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Front Office, Middle Office, Product Control, and Financial Engineering teams.
Work closely with stakeholders across Canada, US and Europe mainly with Sales and Trade teams.
Provide weekly updates to stake holders organize spring planning and execution.
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements; translate them into clear specifications for development teams.
Develop detailed documentation, including business requirements, workflows, and process diagrams.
Perform gap analysis between current and target states and propose scalable solutions aligned with business and regulatory needs.
Leverage domain expertise in equity and fixed income products to support project success.
Operate within an Agile workplace, participating in ceremonies such as sprint planning and stand-ups.
Support production issue analysis and resolution

1) 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, including experience with documentation, ability to create workflow diagrams, business requirements
2) 5+ years’ experience in capturing business requirements for building a Derivative Products Trading Application covering Trade Capture, Integration with Pricing Models.
3) 5+ years’ experience with market data used to price derivative instruments
4) 5+ years’ experience with the trade life cycle for derivative products events such as Amend, Unwind, Rate Reset or Fixing Process and Realized Cashflows.
5) 2+ years’ experience with risk watch pricing engine.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Advanced Knowledge of derivative financial instruments related to Equity Options, interest rate swaps, Cap/Floor, Inflation asset swaps
2) Unix Scripting
3)
Python Scripting
4) Pl/SQL
5) Automated testing experience
Education:
CFA/FRM an asset
