Become a vital part of the City of Brooks as a Hydro Vac Operator, maintaining essential underground piping systems and sewer lines. This full-time, permanent position involves operating hydrovac trucks and ensuring overall system integrity.

As a Utility Operator in our Utilities Services Department, you’ll be responsible for skilled operation and maintenance of hydrovac and flusher trucks. You’ll manage records for flushing schedules, conduct preventive maintenance on equipment, and report on the city's infrastructure. Independent work is essential in this role, which requires adaptability and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate hydrovac and flusher trucks efficiently
• Maintain equipment per approved standards




• Manage accurate flushing schedules and records
• Ensure traffic/pedestrian control at work sites
• Run sewer cameras to assess piping conditions

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Class 3 drivers license with Q endorsement
• Valid certificates: First Aid, Confined Space, H2S, etc.
• Solid communication and public relations skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
