Become part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team at the Peterborough Family Health Team, as a Mental Health Clinician providing vital psychosocial care. Your roles will include assessment, treatment, and crisis intervention, totaling 22.5 hours per week.
This permanent position focuses on delivering psychosocial assessment and a diverse range of psychiatric treatments for patients across Peterborough. You will coordinate referrals, engage in treatment planning, and support the team with administrative tasks. Your goal is to improve patient outcomes through effective crisis intervention and advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide bio-psychosocial assessments for patients
• Initiate and deliver various treatment therapies
• Facilitate clinical groups and services as needed
• Maintain organized referral and appointment schedules
• Advocate effectively for patient needs in care
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a community
• Master's degree in Social Work or Registered Psychotherapist
• Familiarity with Cognitive and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy preferred
• Experience leading therapy groups an asset
• Commitment to career development and standards
