About the Role Our client is seeking a dedicated Agricultural Researcher specializing in Soil Health to join their innovative research division in East London . This role is vital for advancing sustainable agricultural practices through in-depth study of soil ecosystems, nutrient cycling, and soil conservation methods. You will design and conduct field and laboratory experiments, analyze data, and contribute to the development of practical solutions for improving soil fertility and long-term farm productivity. Working with a team of scientists, you will play a crucial part in shaping the future of agriculture through scientific inquiry and evidence-based recommendations. This is an exciting opportunity for a researcher passionate about soil science and its impact on agricultural sustainability.
Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage field and laboratory research projects focused on soil health and fertility.
Conduct comprehensive soil sampling and analysis, assessing physical, chemical, and biological properties.
Investigate the impact of various agricultural practices on soil structure, nutrient availability, and microbial activity.
Analyze research data using statistical methods and relevant software, drawing conclusions and developing recommendations.




Prepare detailed research reports, scientific publications, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with agronomists, farmers, and industry partners to disseminate research findings and promote soil health best practices.
Requirements Ph.D. or Master's degree in Soil Science, Agronomy, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of research experience in soil science, with a focus on soil health and sustainable agriculture.
Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis (e.g., using R, SAS), and scientific writing.
Experience with soil testing equipment and laboratory procedures.
Strong understanding of soil microbiology, nutrient cycling, and conservation practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
