About the Role Our client requires a specialized Rotating Equipment Mechanical Engineer to join their engineering team in Kimberley . This role is focused on the specification, design, troubleshooting, and maintenance of critical rotating machinery, such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and motors. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of these essential assets within our client's industrial operations in the Northern Cape . The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in the dynamics and mechanics of rotating equipment.
Key Responsibilities Specify, design, and select rotating equipment for various industrial applications.
Develop maintenance strategies, including preventative and predictive maintenance plans for critical machinery.
Perform vibration analysis, performance testing, and root cause failure analysis on rotating equipment.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for operational issues related to pumps, compressors, and turbines.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for rotating equipment reliability.
Collaborate with procurement, maintenance,



and operations teams to optimize equipment lifespan and performance.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 6 years of experience focused on rotating equipment engineering.
Robust knowledge of pump, compressor, turbine, and motor technologies.
Proficiency in vibration analysis techniques and diagnostic tools.
