Exercises mature judgment in carrying out instructional skills and general lifeguarding duties.RequirementsLifesaving Swim Instructor CertificationC.P.R. “C” CertificationNational Lifeguard Certification – Pool OptionSatisfactory Criminal Record CheckExperience teaching aquafit classes is considered an asset.Salary & BenefitsThis is a CUPE bargaining unit position based on a 40‑hour work week, and subject to Article 1(d) – Probationary Period as set out in the Union Collective Agreement. The hourly wage is $25.55, increasing to $26.89 after 60 working days (Jan 2026 Rates). Hours of work include evenings and weekends.
