As the Senior Burn Crew Member, you will lead a team of three Fire Management Technicians during wildland fire activities in Georgia. This role encompasses preparing fire lines, carrying out prescribed burns, maintaining equipment, and conducting post-burn assessments. The position also involves managing shared accommodations for the crew and fostering a positive living setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a fire crew effectively
• Prepare fire lines under the guidance of the Burn Boss
• Maintain equipment and perform post-burn monitoring
• Serve as a liaison with community and fire agencies
• Support environmental preservation through land management
Requirements:
• High school diploma with 12 months of relevant experience
• Certification as Firefighter Type 2 (FFT2)
• Ability to pass physical fitness tests
• Experience with equipment operation and maintenance
• Basic First Aid and CPR training
