You will serve as the primary point of contact for overseas agents, carriers, and local clients, ensuring that cargo moves seamlessly from the port of origin to the final destination in Laval and the Greater Montreal Area.

Ensure all ISF (Importer Security Filing) and customs pre-alerts are submitted on time. -Carrier Liaison: Negotiate spot rates with steamship lines and secure container space during peak seasons. -Problem Resolution:



Proactively manage port congestion issues, vessel delays, and equipment shortages to minimize demurrage and detention charges. -Financial Management: Audit carrier invoices, prepare client billing, and calculate file profitability. -Client Service: Provide real-time tracking updates to clients and advise on Incoterms and optimal shipping routes.

Qualifications Candidate Qualifications -Experience: 3–5 years of direct experience in ocean freight forwarding or international logistics. -Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in freight management software (e.g., Cargo

Wise, SAP, or Magaya) and Microsoft Excel. -Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of Incoterms 2020, container types, and steamship line operations. -Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to remain calm under the pressure of tight shipping windows. -Certification: CIFFA (Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association) certification is considered a solid asset.
