Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 40 hours per week Education: Other trades certificate or diploma Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years or equivalent experience Work site environment At heights Outdoors Work setting In office customer service Repair Commercial Industrial Residential Installation Shop fabrication Tasks Determine type of glass, frames and material required Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements Measure, mark and cut glass Position and secure panes in frame Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products Install door, window and other hardware Repair glass doors and other glass structures Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment Transport cases of glass Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages Work from man-lift mobile equipment, cranes and other lifting equipment Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Working at heights training Glazier Red Seal Certificate Glazier Trade Certification Occupational Health and Safety Certificate First Aid Certificate Type of glass/materials Acrylic plexiglass Float glass Mirrors Sealed units Frame fabrication and installation Curtain wall (stock length material) Curtain wall (prefabricated material)
