As an Industrial Painter, you will be responsible for painting larger industrial components, manufacturing equipment, and small parts. This involves preparation, setup, finishing, airless spraying, masking, and conducting quality checks on paint thickness. You may also be required to use a blast booth and assist in the facility as needed. You'll be working as part of a larger team when handling bigger components.
Responsibilities
Paint larger industrial components and manufacturing equipment.
Prepare, set up, and finish painting tasks.
Conduct airless spraying and masking.
Perform quality checks on paint thickness.
Potential use of a blast booth.
Collaborate with a team on larger components.
Assist in the facility as needed.
Experience in painting, paint preparation, and industrial painting.
Proficiency with spray guns, airless sprayers, and paint booths.
Ability to measure dry and wet film thickness of paint.
Knowledge of epoxy, urethane, and organic zinc paints.
Experience in blasting, sandblasting, sanding, and paint mixing.
Competency in using a paint sprayer.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in a direct competitor assembly shop.
Experience painting compression units and pipes.

Work in a fabrication environment on gas compression skids and modular units. Join a team of 15 painters, with potential to work with partners depending on the scope of work. Available shifts include days (Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, 6AM-4:30PM), nights (Monday-Thursday, 4:30PM-2:30AM, with a $5 premium), weekends (Friday-Monday, 6AM-4:30PM, with a $3 premium), and adaptable shifts (6AM-2PM on any given day). Overtime is paid after 40 hours, and double time is paid after 56 hours.

This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.
Pay and Advantages
The pay range for this position is $30.25 - $35.25/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
