Position Overview
The Public Area Attendant is a member ofthe Housekeeping Department and is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness,sanitation, presentation, and overall appearance of all public andguest-accessible areas within the Dakota Dunes Thermal Spa. This position workscontinuously and discreetly in a live thermal spa environment, including lounges,corridors, change areas, washrooms, entrances, dining-adjacent spaces, andother assigned public spaces.
Key Responsibilities
Clean,sanitize, inspect, and replenish assigned public spaces according toestablished frequencies and standards.
Maintainwashrooms, vanities, showers, change-area surfaces, relaxation spaces,corridors, entrances, and other assigned areas.
Removewaste, recycling, used towels, robes, cups, and other items promptly anddiscreetly.
Completehigh-touch cleaning and respond to spills, wet floors, debris, and urgentcleaning needs.
Conduct routinevisual inspections and communicate maintenance, damage, pest, safety, or supplyconcerns.
Support deepcleaning and seasonal cleaning assignments.
Followchemical dilution, WHMIS, PPE,
infection-control, slip prevention, andoccupational safety procedures.
Maintainclean equipment and prevent cross-contamination between washrooms, guest areas,and other zones.
Respectguest privacy in change rooms and other sensitive areas and follow accessprotocols.
Acknowledgeguests warmly and assist with simple questions or direct them to GuestServices.
Immediatelycommunicate guest concerns or facility issues to the appropriate team member.
Qualifications
Previousexperience in housekeeping, hotel, resort, spa, janitorial services, or similarenvironment is considered an asset.
Strongcommunication and interpersonal skills.
Attentionto detail and cleanliness standards.
Ability towork independently with minimal supervision.
Ability towork respectfully and professionally around guests.
WHMIScertification is preferred.
First Aideand CPR certification is an asset.
Minimum 19years of age.
Ability towork flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shiftsas required.
