Shape the future of Indigenous education as an Autonomy Strategist with the First Nations University of Canada. In this full time role at the Regina campus, you'll engage with crucial stakeholders to support academic independence.
The Autonomy Strategist will report to the Director of Autonomy and work closely with Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and FNUniv leaders. Your main task is creating a holistic vision document that aligns with traditional Indigenous values, while developing a strategic plan to achieve autonomy. Collaboration across various university units is essential to manage project plans and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Research and write a multi-generational vision document
• Develop an institution-wide strategic plan for autonomy
• Organize stakeholder gatherings to communicate progress
• Collaborate on operational frameworks and academic standards
• Engage with Elders and partners for agreements
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree; Master’s preferred
• Minimum 5 years related experience
• Knowledge of First Nations cultural protocols
• Experience with diverse groups and organizations
• Understanding of decolonizing education principles
