AbouttheRole TheChargeMedicalLaboratoryTechnologist(MLT)playsakeyroleinsupportingtheeffectiveoperation,quality,andcontinuousimprovementoftheLaboratoryDepartment.TheChargeMLTparticipatesinandisresponsibleforvariousaspectsoftheLaboratoryQualityManagementSystem,LaboratoryInformationSystem(LIS),andPointofCareTesting(POCT)System.
TheChargeMedicalLaboratoryTechnologist(MLT)alsocontributestoqualityimprovementinitiatives,supportscompliancewithlaboratorypolicies,procedures,andapplicablestandards,andassistswiththeeffectiveimplementation,maintenance,andongoingimprovementoflaboratoryprocessesandsystems.Workingcollaborativelywithlaboratorystaffandotherhealthcareprofessionals,theChargeMedicalLaboratoryTechnologist(MLT)promotesacultureofquality,safety,accountability,andcontinuousimprovementtosupportthedeliveryofsafe,accurate,andhigh-qualitypatientcare.

Post-diplomaeducationinQualityAssuranceandQualityControlispreferred
Minimumofsix(6)yearsofexperiencewithqualityimprovementinitiativesispreferred.
