About the Role: Business Analyst Student
Day-to-day, you'll be working across data migration projects , integration pipelines , and reporting and visualization platforms . You'll connect with diverse data sources - from SQL Server and Oracle to Snowflake and enterprise data warehouses - while helping build analytics-ready models that power decision-making across the business. Alongside the technical work, you'll engage directly with stakeholders from ecommerce and supply chain teams as a liaison and change agent .
You'll apply Agile Project Management methodology to lead analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of key initiatives. Adhering to deadlines, maintaining process documentation, and supporting RFX processes are all part of the scope. Canadian Tire expects students to take ownership, contribute to business reviews, and bring fresh thinking to the table.

Responsibilities
Lead and support data migration initiatives , including transitioning data from SQL Server environments to enterprise data warehouses such as IHUB, ensuring scalable and analytics-ready data models
Design and implement data integration pipelines across multiple environments, connecting diverse data sources including SQL Server, Oracle, IHUB, Snowflake, and enterprise data warehouses
Enable seamless data access across platforms while ensuring data quality, governance, and consistency across systems
Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reporting solutions using tools such as Power BI, ThoughtSpot, and Tableau
Apply Agile Project Management methodology to lead analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of key initiatives
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as a liaison and change agent, driving efficiencies and better decision-making across the portfolio
Turn large datasets into meaningful information , mapping current processes and creating simulation models to test alternatives
Contribute to process documentation , RFX processes,
and regular business reviews and brainstorming sessions, while adhering to strict project deadlines
Requirements / Skills
Canadian Tire is looking for a university student in a relevant discipline who brings both analytical rigour and strong communication skills to the table. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across technical and business domains, and has hands-on experience with data analytics or engineering tools . Asset qualifications - such as supply chain knowledge or project management experience - will strengthen your application.
Enrolled in a university program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
Experience in data analytics, data engineering, or data science roles or academic projects
Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
Project and change management skills , with knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies considered an asset
Strong written and verbal communication skills along with solid presentation abilities
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, and Visio
Proven ability to liaise between multiple stakeholders across different teams and functions
Knowledge of reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or ThoughtSpot is an asset
University student in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or Applied Mathematics; experience in data analytics, data engineering, or data science roles; analytical and problem-solving skills; project and change management skills; advanced user of standard desktop tools including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Project and Visio; proven experience as liaison between multiple stakeholders.
