Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate – Fergus, ON Position Details: Location: Fergus, ON
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Shifts Available: Afternoon Shift 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm
Starting Wage: $22- $23/hour
Employment Type: Evaluation-to-hire (long-term opportunity)
Transportation: Must have a reliable vehicle (not accessible by public transit)
Express Employment Professionals Guelph is recruiting for a great long-term opportunity with a growing company in Fergus, ON. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate to join their team. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity for the right fit, with the potential to transition into a permanent position.
Reliability, consistency, and a strong work ethic are key to success in this role.
Responsibilities: Operate a forklift approximately 70% of the time to move and organize materials
Load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility
Move bins of material to grinding machines and recycling equipment
Assist with warehouse duties including:
Using box cutters
Operating mechanical tippers (training provided)
Using pallet jacks
Assisting with material movement using leaf blowers to help move material through chutes
Perform general labour duties as required
Safely change propane tanks on forklifts when needed
Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly lift and move bins/material weighing approximately 55 lbs




Comfortable performing repetitive physical work, including lifting, standing, and moving materials
Ability to safely transport materials to machines and recycling areas
Qualifications: Previous forklift experience required
Ability to safely operate a forklift in a warehouse/manufacturing setting
Experience changing propane tanks on forklifts required
Strong attention to safety and following procedures
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Willingness to work hard and contribute to a team
Mechanical equipment experience is an asset (training provided)
