The Whistler Sliding Centre (WSC) is a world-class bobsleigh, skeleton and luge facility located above Whistler Village on the side of Blackcomb Mountain. Home to Olympic sport, high-performance training and public sliding experiences, WSC delivers sport programming, competitions and unforgettable guest experiences throughout the winter season.

We are currently hiring a Track Medical Responder to support the safe operation of the Whistler Sliding Centre. This unique role combines first aid and emergency response with hands-on track operations, safety and the delivery of our sport and public sliding programs.

Job Overview
Position: Track Medical Responder

Department: Whistler Sliding Centre

Status: Full time, Temporary, Hourly

Housing: Affordable staff housing available for Full-Time employees

Schedule: Full-time hours; flexibility to work evenings and weekends required

Location: Whistler Sliding Centre, Whistler, BC

Salary: $24.50–$28.00/hour, depending on experience

Start Date: October 22, 2026

What You’ll Do

Provide first aid and accident-site control for incidents both on and off the track.

Identify and respond to hazards, support incident reporting and help maintain a safe environment for guests, athletes and colleagues.

Participate in emergency response scenarios and venue safety procedures.

Support daily preparation and maintenance of the sliding track, including shoveling, sweeping, spritzing, slushing and scraping.

Assist with track clearances,



snow removal and other operational duties around the venue.

Help deliver public and sport programs, including participant safety orientations, equipment checks and track-side support.

Interact with athletes, coaches and guests while providing friendly and professional service.

Support sport competitions, special events and other Whistler Sliding Centre programs as required.

What You Bring

Current OFA Level 3 or equivalent certification, such as Canadian National Ski Patrol Outdoor Emergency Care.

A valid BC Class 5 driver’s license.

Previous physical labor experience and comfort performing hands-on work with attention to detail.

Previous guest service experience and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

A safety-conscious mindset and the ability to adapt in a dynamic operational environment.

Three or more years of Ski Patrol experience is preferred.

Knowledge of the Whistler Sliding Centre and the sports of bobsleigh, luge and skeleton is an asset.

Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions, stand for extended periods and regularly lift up to 50 lbs.

A satisfactory criminal record check prior to commencing employment.
