Job Summary

Ontario TechUniversity is recruiting candidates to fill the casual, part-time position ofExam Invigilator in the Office of Student Life. Reporting to the Manager, TestCentre and Integrated Services, the incumbent is responsible for providing TestCentre support and proctoring exams. The role ensures that students registeredwith Student Accessibility Services receive their approved accommodationsduring examinations.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

- Checkstudents in and verify ID’s.
- Monitoruniversity students while they are writing examinations and tests.
- Assistwith opening/setting up and closing/cleaning up of testing rooms.
- Beaware of exam anomalies, and report incidences using university andStudent Accessibility Services (SAS) procedures.
- Answerstudent queries while remaining non-partisan and professional.
- Fileboth prepared and completed exams with precision according to Test Centreprotocols.
- EnforceTest Centre protocol - secure exam files, complete appropriate paperworkduring each shift, maintain.
- Test Centre security, and uphold high level ofconfidentiality.
- Ensureacademic integrity is maintained throughout all exam activities.

Required Education

- Completionof post-secondary school program (college diploma or university degree)
- * Verification of Academic credentials may be required

Required Experience

- Minimum1 year of experience working in an accommodated Test Centre (preferred)
- Minimum1 year of customer service experience (preferred)

THIS POSITION FALLS WITHIN THE BARGAINING UNIT REPRESENTED BY THE PUBLIC SERVICE ALLIANCE OF CANADA (PSAC) TEACHING ASSISTANT/RESEARCH ASSISTANT/INVIGILATOR AND WILL BE SUBJECT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE UNIVERSITY AND PSAC.
