Combined Laboratory / X-Ray Technologist I Swan Hills, with its population of 1,201, is a small town in northern Alberta surrounded by Big Lakes Country, located approximately 80 kms north of Whitecourt. Swan Hills' scenic wilderness makes it a popular year-round destination for nature enthusiasts and outdoor adventuring, including camping, hunting, fishing, and ATV riding. While the primary industry in Swan Hills is oil and gas, the Swan Hills Treatment Centre, north of town, as well as the Swan Hills Healthcare Centre and service center for the logging industry are also major employers for this charming community. As a successful candidate, you will be a member of the interdisciplinary team where you will be responsible for providing exemplary patient care by applying the regional policies, procedures and work ranging from basic to highly complex procedures and activities within the x-ray and laboratory departments. In addition to your strong attention to detail and valuable judgement, you are highly organized and have proven communication skills that enable you to work collaboratively within our fast-paced ever-changing environment. With a customer service focused approach, you build productive and respectful customer relations and take responsibility for customer satisfaction. Description: As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I,



you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required.

Required Qualifications: Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT).Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and Xray Technologists (ACCLXT).
