Lead the charge in enhancing nursing recruitment and retention across Northern and Indigenous workplaces with RNAO. Join a mission focused on supporting healthcare and promoting nursing careers.
This role, specializing in nursing recruitment and retention, reports to RNAO’s Director of Membership and Services. You will develop effective programs to attract current nurses, support career advancement, and help retain existing healthcare professionals. Collaborating with various partners, your initiatives will impact nursing in Ontario’s underserved communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create recruitment and retention strategies for diverse groups
• Establish career navigation and counselling services for nurses
• Modernize the Nurse Ambassador Program and expand outreach
• Conduct job fairs and education presentations to promote nursing
• Produce quarterly workforce intelligence reports for stakeholders
Requirements:
• University Degree in Nursing with up to three years of experience
• Proven experience working with Indigenous communities
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and collaborate effectively
• Willingness to travel within service areas as necessary
Drive meaningful change in nursing through strategic recruitment initiatives and comprehensive support services.
