Are you an experienced Business Analyst looking to make an impact on major financial projects?

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business Systems Analyst-Payments Modernization.This position involves leading complex, cross-functional payments modernization projects within a reputable financial organization. The successful candidate will oversee end-to-end business requirements, work collaboratively with diverse stakeholder groups, and contribute to the overall success of transformational initiatives in an Agile setting.

Pay rate range (CAD): $72.46/hr– $86.95/hr

Responsibilities

Lead the full lifecycle of business requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and stakeholder needs

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, operations, and governance, to gather and validate requirements

Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues related to requirements throughout the project lifecycle

Contribute to change management efforts by conducting stakeholder and gap analysis, preparing change plans, and ensuring readiness

Apply various business analysis tools and techniques to facilitate clear communication and requirement documentation

Ensure adherence to project management governance, standards, and best practices

Partner with technical teams to translate business needs into system requirements and support design recommendations





Support quality assurance activities by developing test strategies, test plans, and scenarios, while actively participating in defect resolution

Mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and promote skill development within the team

Foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment and actively participate in team meetings and initiatives

Desired Skill-Set

8+ years of experience in business analysis within financial services or payments-focused roles

Proven proficiency with project delivery practices across PDLC, iterative, and Agile methodologies

Extensive experience managing requirements for large, complex, multi-stakeholder programs

Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels

Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills

Ability to adapt communication style to diverse audiences

Business Analysis certification (asset)

Prior experience in a financial institution (asset)

Nice to Have

Experience with Agile requirements delivery

Payments-focused project background

Additional business analysis or project management certifications
