Provide essential personal support as a Part-Time Personal Support Worker with VON. Your expertise will enhance client independence through direct homemaking and personal care services in this flexible role.

As a Personal Support Worker at VON, you'll engage directly in the home support program with a commitment to improve client wellbeing. Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams while conducting assessments and developing care plans that meet individual needs. This part time position consists of a 0.6 FTE commitment, working days and evenings which may include weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
• Observe and evaluate client's home and personal situation
• Contribute to the development of care plans




• Implement necessary changes in care for client safety
• Provide light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene tasks

Requirements:
• High school diploma required
• CCA Certification mandatory in Nova Scotia
• First Aid or CPR certification
• Experience with elderly or ill individuals
