We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various press equipment and machining tools to produce high-quality metal components and assemblies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with CNC machinery, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. Pay Rate: $22/hour - $25/hour (based on experience)

Shifts: Nights 11pm - 7:15am. (must be flexible to work all shifts)

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor stamping presses to ensure accurate metal forming according to specifications

Load and feed raw materials into the press and monitor production throughout the run.

Inspect stamped parts to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Use calipers, gauges, micrometers, and other measuring equipment for dimensional inspections.

Identify defective parts and make appropriate adjustments or notify the supervisor or maintenance team.

Perform basic machine adjustments, troubleshooting, cleaning, and routine maintenance.

Assist with die changes, tooling setup, and press changeovers as required.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine proper machine settings

Perform routine inspections of tools and equipment, including calipers and hand tools, to maintain optimal operation





Adjust machine parameters as needed for different production runs, ensuring consistent quality

Conduct quality inspections of finished parts using measurement tools and visual checks

Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times

Follow safety guidelines related to crane operation, forklift handling, and other heavy equipment

Skills

Previous experience operating stamping presses or similar manufacturing equipment.

Experience in metal stamping or automotive manufacturing is an asset.

Ability to read and understand work instructions, blueprints, and basic technical drawings.

Basic knowledge of press tooling and die operations.

Ability to use calipers, gauges, and other measuring instruments.

Basic math and measurement skills.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Previous forklift or overhead crane experience is an asset.

Must be willing to follow all workplace safety requirements.

Knowledge of welding techniques and quality inspection procedures

Strong understanding of manufacturing safety standards and protocols

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently

Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining high standards of quality
