Creative Abilities Therapy Servicesis growing, and we are looking for anOccupational Therapistto join our multidisciplinary team inCalgary and surrounding areas.This is anIndependent Contractoropportunity supporting children, youth, and families through individualized, family-centred services, including families receiving support throughFamily Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD).Location: Calgary & Surrounding AreasPopulation: Pediatric and neurodiverse children and youthYour RoleAs an Occupational Therapist, you may:Complete occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized recommendations and intervention plansSupport sensory processing, emotional regulation, fine motor skills, self-care, daily living skills, motor planning, and functional participationProvide direct therapy, consultation, caregiver education, and home or community-based strategiesCollaborate with families, Speech-Language Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Behavioural Consultants, Behavioural & Developmental Aides, and other team membersContribute to Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and multidisciplinary service planning for FSCD Specialized Services when applicableMonitor progress and adjust strategies based on the child and family's goalsComplete clinical notes, reports, progress summaries,



and other required documentationParticipate in team meetings and collaborate with families and other professionalsRequirementsRegistered with theAlberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)Current and valid ACOT Practice PermitProfessional liability insuranceCurrent Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector SearchAbility to maintain professional documentation and confidentiality requirementsStrong communication, organization, and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary teamAssetsExperience supporting neurodiverse children and youthExperience with FSCD-funded services, including Specialized Services or Behavioural & Developmental SupportsExperience working within multidisciplinary teamsExperience with sensory processing, regulation, feeding, fine motor, self-care, or functional participation goalsWhy Join Creative Abilities?Opportunity to build a caseload that fits your availabilityOpportunities to support both FSCD-funded and private familiesOpportunities for student supervision and mentorshipIn-home, community, and virtual service opportunitiesAt Creative Abilities Therapy Services, we believe effective support is team-oriented, individualized, and centred around the priorities of each child and family.
