Job Full Description
Our client is seeking a Shipping Specialist to manage domestic and international shipping operations. This role is responsible for coordinating shipments, preparing customs documentation, maintaining HS classifications, and ensuring compliance with import/export and cross-border trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers, suppliers, and logistics partners.

Prepare and verify shipping, customs, and export documentation.

Maintain accurate HS code classifications for products.

Monitor tariff, duty, and trade regulation changes.

Work with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure timely customs clearance.

Resolve shipping delays, customs issues, and freight claims.

Track shipments and provide status updates to internal teams.

Identify opportunities to reduce freight, duty, and landed costs.

Ensure compliance with Canadian, U.S., and international shipping regulations.

Job Experience

Minimum 3 years of shipping, logistics, or import/export experience.

Strong understanding of HS codes, customs procedures, and tariff classifications.

Experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders.

Knowledge of Canada-U.S.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Excel and shipping/logistics systems.

Job Education

Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field is an asset.
