Inuuqatigiit Centre for Inuit Children, Youth & Families is searching for a Youth Programs Cook to contribute significantly to their Family Well-being Department. Under the Program Coordinator's supervision, you will create menu plans, prepare meals, and maintain kitchen standards to support Inuit youth. Creativity in meal preparation and an understanding of individual dietary needs are essential for success in this impactful role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan monthly menus reflecting Inuit cultural traditions
• Prepare nutritious meals for up to 24 children
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards
• Oversee volunteers assisting with meal preparation
• Purchase food supplies within approved budget
Requirements:
• Knowledge of Inuit diet and cultural practices
• CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
• Police Record Check and TB test required
• Proven ability in menu planning and food service
• Flexibility to work afternoon and evening shifts
Contribute to fostering a vibrant, supportive environment for Inuit youth through culinary skills and cultural heritage.
