Industrial Tank Cleaner – Shutdown Near Fort St. John, BC Position Type: Full time Contract (Shutdown)
Location: Near Fort St.
Travel: Saturday, September 12, 2026. First shift Sunday, September 13, 2026.
Schedule: Shutdown rotation, 12 hours per day.
Compensation: $28.00 per hour plus applicable overtime. Overtime: time and a half after 8 hours in a day and after 40 hours in a week, double time after 12 hours in a day (per British Columbia employment standards).
Accommodation: Hotel accommodation provided, plus a $50.00 per day living out allowance for food.

Mask fit test, current, covering the respirators used on this site: AV2000 full facepiece AV3000 Sure Seal full facepiece Half mask respirator
Nice to Have: previous tank cleaning, confined space entry or industrial vacuum experience
Nice to Have: previous shutdown or turnaround experience in oil and gas, petrochemical or heavy industrial settings
Nice to Have: confined space rescue or high angle rescue experience beyond the basic ticket
What You’ll Do Work for extended periods inside confined spaces, including tanks and vessels.
Perform duties in full PPE including Tyvek suit, full face respirator and rubber boots.
Safely complete cleaning scopes in hot, enclosed environments.
Maintain constant communication with attendants and supervisors during confined space operations.
Support shutdown timelines by completing assigned scopes on schedule.
Take part in pre-job hazard assessments, toolbox talks and safety meetings.
Follow all client, site and GrizzlyTrek safety policies without exception.
What You Bring Able to fit through an 18 inch manway.
Able to work in hot, confined spaces for long durations.
Able to wear full PPE,
including respiratory protection, for extended periods.
Strong physical endurance and mental resilience.
Willing to travel to the Fort St. John area and stay in the provided hotel for the length of the shutdown.

What We Offer Pay is a gross hourly rate before deductions.
$28.00 per hour with overtime after 8 hours in a day and after 40 hours in a week.
